RACT Analysis

As regulatory requirements expand, small manufacturing companies feel the strain to maintain compliance while continuing to operate fluently. Air Resource Specialists has experience aiding local manufacturing companies that need to reduce their emissions, but don’t have readily available staff to perform a Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) analysis.

ARS’ compliance team recently aided a local facility that needed to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOX) Emissions. We worked directly with plant engineers to determine potential solutions, gathered quotes, and analyzed costs for the proposed control options. Detailed analyses included annual operating and maintenance costs and cost per ton of NOX that would be reduced. Several options were analyzed for the most cost-effective strategy to reduce emissions. This analysis was used as part of the permitting process to show Colorado’s Air Pollution Control Division which options had been considered and why a specific option was chosen.

DID THE FACILITY GO WITH THIS OPTION? CONCLUSION
